I'll remember this.
Our amazing pension is up dark spiraling staircase next to a special effects mask store, a ghost museum and just the terrifying buzz of city lights and drunken party goers from around the world. The town is old and haunting. The horrors of the Roman Empire and the nazi regime and communist rise to power splayed out. Gargoyles and crucifixions and angry mythic creatures at every turn. This place if freaky. Good place to have a sibling to cuddle with.

Greetings from Europe
So the trip has been great fun. Melissa and Caleb have been generous hosts. It's been amazing getting to know their quaint little German town. Germany is more beautiful than I could have imagined. We spent yesterday at the most amazing spa. The spa was 1/2 adults only. It was towels only saunas, aroma therapy, steam rooms, napping rooms, Turkish cold baths, restaurants, massage areas. It was ridiculously clean and stunningly beautiful. It was amazing. The other side was a family area with huge warm pools, wave pools, lap pools, indoor outdoor pools, kiddie play area and 2 outstanding water slides, gushing water for massage, and lots of areas to play it too was spotless. .
Last night we went to a Japanese restaurant. It was amazing. We had sushi. It was Mason's birthday. Rosie ate lots of raw fish. Myles opted for chicken and fried rice.
This morning we got up super early and caught the commuter train to Mannheim. We are well on our way to Heidelberg and Nuremberg and on through to Prague via double decker bus. We are on the top level and all of Germany is out these windows.
The kids have learned to use coin accessed bathrooms, how to try foods that stretch the imagination and to enjoy the candies. They have been incredible champs. It doesn't hurt that the trip has been idyllic.
Of course Mason, Caleb, Myles and Rosie are playing the Pokemon game.

Greetings from Germany
Dear Reading Club,
We made it to Germany! It is so beautiful here. We have been at my sister's house. She lives near a forest. We walked about 1 mile down a trail to find a beautiful cafe. There are no roads to this cafe. There is only a path for walking. It was so much fun. It had a playground made from big trees. There were teeter totters, bridges and forts. Myles and Rosie had so much fun.
I am reading everyday! I heard that you did a reading club meeting. Great job! Mason noticed in German they break the cat: kite rule all of the time. I noticed they use different letters with symbols. We haven't been to many places yet. We are getting over jet lag. I will say my favorite part of Germany so far is the chocolates, the outdoor patios, and the many flower gardens.
I am happy to report that Linus's gash was from the fence, not a raccoon. Here when we walk in the woods we keep an eye out for wild boar!
Thank you for keeping the club together. I miss you all!
Hugs,
Allyson
