Rosie the engineer
The numbers on the balloon Rosie did. She heard me tell mason about my lesson yesterday. I am teaching equal values and proportionate change in values. We made 3 equal length marks on a deflated balloon and then inflated it to see disproportionate change. Then we made equal length marks on inflated balloons and watched how their change was seemingly proportionate. She was just listening. I didn't show mason or do a demo. Today Rosie made those lines and said. "Mom. I couldn't make all my lines proportionate. ". She made a mistake skipping 3 but you can see she self corrected and wrote the correct value very small in the corner. Math genius.
