Happy Thanksgiving!
We celebrated our Thanksgiving with my family again this year, and it was wonderful as always. The kids were stellar, especially considering they were the only two kids in a houseful of adults for 6 hours.
Myles is into Star Wars right now, and you can only imagine his surprise when he discovered that my cousin John had a "real" lightsaber!
And then my cousin David took him outside for some fencing lessons and proceeded to have most of his body parts lopped off! (Note that Myles has lost his hand a la Luke Skywalker, but NOBODY could ever get him to lose more than that!)
And Rosie was her usual upbeat self, waving to all of her various relatives and singing them songs.
It was a wonderful time all around and I'm happy to have the family--both immediate and extended--that I do.

With the stomach bug in the house I have been wiping down surfaces a
lot. Clearly Rosie figured out the routine. As I was helping Myles
wash up after using the restroom, Rosie crawled over, pulled off a
couple toilet paper squares, and started wiping off the the toilet. 9
months and already offering to help. What a dear!

Growing up
So Myles asked for his wallet today. He asked to go to Costco to get a
hot dog. He ordered exactly what he wanted. He gave the clerk money,
got his change, and cried when the clerk handed him an empty cup. Poor
Myles. I guess he didn't understand fountain drinks.

Now
We are sitting at a table- at Myles's request. So grown up.
